The Cost of Growth: What No One Tells You About Scaling

There’s this quiet myth in entrepreneurship: That once you grow, it gets easier. You’ll finally have help. You’ll finally have time. You’ll finally breathe.

But no one talks about what happens in between.

That weird, uncomfortable space where delegation has started—but nothing feels automated. Where a team member is technically handling something, but you still check on it at 10pm. Where the calendar is full of strategy meetings and client calls, but the to-do list keeps expanding.

This is the cost of growth. And I’m in it right now. And I know you are, too.

I’m running multiple businesses. I’m mentoring students. I’m in corporate meetings, raising a family, and prepping to hand off more client work. And somewhere in the middle of that, I’m building internal systems, updating processes, and navigating what it means to actually lead a team—not just manage tasks.

And here’s the truth: Leadership is hard. Not because you’re doing it wrong. But because it requires an identity shift.

It asks you to loosen your grip. To stop believing that you’re the only one who can “do it right.” To let your team try, even when you could do it faster yourself.

No one talks about how uncomfortable that is. How exhausting it can feel when you're straddling the line between CEO and do-it-all technician. How tempting it is to revert back to solo mode just for the illusion of control (and because it's the easy way out....for now!)

But here's what I've realized: The overwhelm isn't a sign that you're failing. It’s a sign that you’re evolving. That you're outgrowing old systems (or lack of systems, be honest!). That you're moving into a version of yourself that can truly scale.

✨ Why I’m Creating My Next Big Thing

This exact season is why I’m building out something brand new for leaders like me (and maybe like you, too). A training that doesn’t just teach what to delegate—but how to think like a delegator (and full disclosure, I have grown this skill by working with my husband, it's like a super power of his!). Because scaling your business doesn’t just require help. It requires you to lead differently.

You can’t grow your business and grip control at the same time. And delegation? It’s not instinctual. It’s a learned skill. One that most of us never get taught.

That’s why I’m building something that goes beyond fluff and shows you what real delegation, structure, and leadership look like in action.

So if you’re sitting in the middle of the chaos right now… you’re not alone. You’re not broken. You’re not failing. You’re becoming.

✅ Take the First Step

Need help taking things off your plate but don’t know where to start? Download the SOP Starter Kit — a simple tool to help you begin mapping out repeatable processes (and prepare for delegation before you feel ready, because, spoiler alert, you can't delegate if you haven't written things down! Wisdom is at play here, hear me when I say this!).

You don’t need perfect systems to start. You just need to start.

Let me say it again for the ones in the back: YOU DON'T NEED PERFECT SYSTEMS TO START. YOU JUST NEED TO START.
